Holiday Letter Part II

As you know, MY HOLIDAY LETTER  is a report card, of sorts, a means by which I debrief myself on my past year.  In it I try to sort out what I did well and where I went wrong. But this year I want to talk about you guys too. So here it is

A HOLIDAY LETTER – PART II

FOR MY BLOG MATES!

At first, I was going to do specific shout outs.  But I realized that I would most certainly forget somebody and the last thing I want to do is make anyone feel left out.  So what I am going to do is  a general OCM Holiday Letter.

Many of you display a number of the same wonderful traits

so if you recognize yourself in what I say

Yep, it’s you!

First, I would like to celebrate your friendship, not just to me, but to one another as well.  You have come together like family and supported one another in times of struggle with everything from words of encouragement to economic support to cards and letters.  That kind of generosity is what’s best about this world.

Others of you have persevered in the face of huge obstacles.  Some have, time and time again, complied with Rule No. 5 No Matter What you Kept Coming . . .

Some of you have tolerated people in your lives that have been less than kind, came here to share your irritation but responded with patience and kindness with those who gave you far less than that.  What grace you have shown.

Some of you have been out in the world, learned a tough lesson, came here to tell about it and began to change for the better.  What courage you have shown.

Some of you are just plain kind.  To animals and lost children a like.

Others of you, in fact all of you, have allowed me, a woman who has so much, to come here and share my fears and upsets without judgment, recognizing that I too am human and struggle.  You showed no jealousy . . . just love.

You have defended me when attacked like I was your own kid.

You have given me and each other great advice.

Many of you have showed wisdom beyond your years.  Young people who have it together make my day. Several of you have done that for me over and over again.

You have, on occasion, taken something I have said or done  or followed a rule in my book, used it and then made the time to come back  here and tell us how it worked out.

You have made me feel good about what I do even when I don’t do it so well. You  tell me how much you appreciate my writing.  That always makes me feel great.

We have taken care to disagree with courtesy and when we have been less than successful with that we truly make an effort to get things straight.

And at the end of the day you keep coming back.  Participating in this little virtual community with care, concern and consistency. Gotta love that.

Most definitely love you guys.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!
