Oh Happy Day

Let me tell you what has been going on at my house:

Three times this week 14 stayed after school for tutoring because HE wanted to!!

17 has asked me to help him with his driving skills. Normally he avoids the subject. He likes the Mom chauffeur service better. He said – check this out – “need to take the pressure off dad when you are traveling!”

For the first time in 50 years I was able to to sleep through the night with a rag on my head (it’s a black thing) If I keep this up, maybe, just maybe, I can grow it out again. Though really I feel hair maintenance is just a whole lot of fuss about nothing of real import. (don’t tell my mom I said that!!!)

I mopped the floor downstairs. And I did it with an old fashioned bucket water and soap and it didn’t look dumb when it was over.

I have called mom everyday since Thanksgiving. Twice yesterday! She asked me “what’s wrong” Still haven’t convinced her there isn’t a problem but hey. . . Mothers do what they do.

By the way, if you don’t mind can you guys tell me what cities you are all from? I know where some of you are but I’m doing a little research. No problem if you don’t care to share. It really isn’t any of my business but I am making plans . . .
